Apex CMS, E-Commerce and Optimisation

While designing our range of Apex products we considered your need to perform basic SEO work. As a result, our CMS and eCommerce systems support a range of central Search Engine Optimisation techniques; these include:

  • Clean URLs throughout your site. Links to your pages will be search engine friendly wherever possible, incorporating the page title in the url, for example: http://www.yoursite.com/page1/the-page-title.
  • No duplicate pages. Some sites may legitimately have more than one URL for the same page. Search engines see this and think you have duplicate pages, which can in turn affect your search engine rankings. Apex ensures any duplicate URLs are hidden from search engines.
  • Dynamic RSS Feed. Let your users subscribe to a live bookmark which will always let them know the most recent updates on your site. Some search engines also look at these feeds.
  • Sitemap: All sites with more than a few pages should have a sitemap. They allow search engines to find all your pages easily.
  • Google, Yahoo! and MSN/Live.com sitemaps. We will submit a sitemap to each of these major search engines for you, which can help you get into their listings much quicker.
